World Day of Prayer

World Day of Prayer
The 2019 World Day of Prayer will be held on Friday
1 March. The service this year is prepared by
Slovenia and the theme is ‘Come – Everything Is
Ready’. To mark the event, there will be a service at
2.30pm in Most Holy Trinity, Crail to which all are
most welcome.

Parish Quiz Night
Mar 1 @ 7:30 pm

Parish Quiz Night

Our annual Parish Quiz Night will take place on Friday
1 March at 7.30pm in St James’ church hall (over
18s only). Tickets cost £6 and are on sale after all
Sunday Masses. The cost covers entry to the quiz
and a welcome drink. Teams should be made up of
5/6 people. Don’t worry If you don’t have a team or
your team is short, we can sort that out on the night.
Donations to the raffle and bar would be most
welcome. All proceeds will go to the hall renovation
fund.

First Saturday Devotions
Mar 2 @ 9:30 am

The next First Saturday of 2019 falls on 2 March. First Saturday Devotions will commece with Mass at St James’ at 9.30am, followed by Confessions, Rosary and Meditation. Please join us in fulfilling the prayer request on Our Lady of Fatima in reparation for sins and for the salvation of sinners.

Lenten Talks for Young Adults
Mar 10 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Archbishop Cushley would like to invite the young adults of our Archdioces to join him for a series of Lenten talks, to be given by himself.  Entitled “On the Way: Walking with Jesus and his Disciples towards Jerusalem”, the talks will take place on Sundays 10 March, 24 March and 7 April (5pm-7pm) at the Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh EH9 1BB.  The evening will consist of a talk by the Archbishop, Q&A, Exposition of the Blesses Sacrament, Benediction and Confession, and will conclude with social time and pizza.  All are very welcome.

One-Day Retreat to St Mary’s Monastery, Kinnoull
Mar 23 all-day

On Saturday 23 March, all parishioners of St James’ and Most Holy Trinity are once again cordially invited to take part in a one-day retreat to St Mary’s Monastery, Kinnoull, near Perth.  The retreat will be run by resident Redemptorist priests.  Teas, coffees and a soup & sandwich lunch will be available at the cost of £10 per person.  Coach transport will be provided (cost tba).  If you are interested, please leave your name and contact details on the sign-up sheet at the back of the church.  Alternatively, contact either Mary Corr (01334 870746) or Debby Harris (07931 891011 email: debby-mac@harris-authors.com).

Legion of Mary Film Night

Legion of Mary Film Night
All parishioners are cordially invited to a showing of
the classic film “Song of Bernadette” on Tuesday 2
April in Canmore. Drinks & nibbles from 6.30pm, with
the film starting at 7pm. There is no admission charge
but a small voluntary donation for refreshments would
be much appreciated.
