Legion of Mary Film Night

Legion of Mary Film Night
All parishioners are cordially invited to a showing of
the classic film “Song of Bernadette” on Tuesday 2
April in Canmore. Drinks & nibbles from 6.30pm, with
the film starting at 7pm. There is no admission charge
but a small voluntary donation for refreshments would
be much appreciated.

Lenten Talks for Young Adults

Archbishop Cushley would like to invite the young adults of our Archdioces to join him for a series of Lenten talks, to be given by himself.  Entitled “On the Way: Walking with Jesus and his Disciples towards Jerusalem”, the talks will take place on Sundays 10 March, 24 March and 7 April (5pm-7pm) at the Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh EH9 1BB.  The evening will consist of a talk by the Archbishop, Q&A, Exposition of the Blesses Sacrament, Benediction and Confession, and will conclude with social time and pizza.  All are very welcome.


Palm Sunday Young Adults Event

Archbishop Cushley would like to invite the young
adults of the Archdiocese of St Andrews & Edinburgh
to join him for a celebration on Palm Sunday, 14 April
at the Gillis Centre, 100 Strathearn Road, Edinburgh
EH9 1BB between 2pm-5pm. The afternoon will
consist of a talk by the Archbishop followed by a Palm
Sunday procession, Holy Mass and will conclude with
social time and food. There will be an opportunity for
confession too. All very welcome.

Chrism Mass

Chrism Mass

The Chrism Mass is where the Archbishop blesses the Holy Oils each year for use in our parishes across the Archdiocese. It is celebrated with most of the priests who also renew their promises of ordination in his presence. It will be celebrated in St Mary’s Cathedral, Edinburgh, on Tuesday 16 April, 7pm and a few of our parishioners normally attend. Would you be interested in going along? If interest is sufficient, we would hire a mini bus to leave the East Neuk/St Andrews around 4.45pm and return by 11pm, latest. Subsidised price would be £20 per person. Children’s Easter Bonnet Competition

This year’s competiton for the children in our parish is to make an Easter bonnet, with judging taking place on Easter Sunday, 21 April. The competition has 4 age categories: 5 years and under; 6-8 years; 9-11 years and 12+ years. Fantastic prizes for the winner of each age category. Please ensure all entries are in the church hall before Easter Sunday 11am Mass. Be creative and get crafting!

The Logos Institute – Conference

St Andrews University’s Logos Institute for Analytic & Exegetical Theology will be hosting a half-day conference entitled “Dietrich Bonhoeffer and Practical Challenges Facing the Church Today” on Saturday 27 April (9am-12.30pm) in Holy Trinity Church, South Street, St Andrews.  The conference will consist of two plenary talks by Rev Jeremy Rios and Dr Caireen Likely, with the keynote address given by Prof Brian Brock from the University of Aberdeen.  All welcome.

Archdiocesan Information Day

A Celebration of Marriage
May 1 @ 7:30 pm

Are you married?  Archbishop Cushley cordially invites you and your spouse to join him on Wednesday 1 May, the Feast of St Joseph the Worker, to celebrate the gift of marriage at St Mary’s Metropolitan Cathedral, Edinburgh at 7.30pm.  The Archbishop will offer Holy Mass during which he will impart his blessing upon those married couples present.  A celebratory reception will follow.  All who wish to celebrate the gift of marriage are very welcome, especially couples celebrating significant anniversaries this year.
