Please contact the Parish Priest on the birth of your baby.

See the table above,  and also at any time upon request.

Confirmation usually takes place in conjunction with Greyfriars School. In other circumstances, please contact the Parish Priest.

If you are engaged to be married please remember that you need to contact your Parish Priest before making any further arrangements, and at least six months before you intend to get married. It is normally only parishioners of St James’ or ex parishioners and ex students who get married in St James’.

Anointing of the Sick

If you, or a family member or friend, are seriously ill or about to go into hospital for major surgery, please contact Fr Michael John in order to arrange for the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick.

Thinking of becoming a Catholic?

Please feel free to contact the Parish Priest if you are interested in finding out more about our faith.  A series of Faith Enquiry Evenings normally runs in Canmore (The University Chaplaincy building, which is directly opposite the church) on Monday evenings at 8pm.  They are suitable for those who may wish to join the Church.
