Presentation of Mace @ St Salvator's Chapel
Nov 30 @ 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

On Sunday 30th November, Archbishop Cushley will be returning to St Andrews to celebrate the 11am Mass. He will then be going to St Salvator’s Chapel for a service at 12.30pm at which he will present to the Principal of the University, on behalf of the Catholic Church in Scotland, a 7th Mace.  The Mace will be officially known as The 600th Anniversary Mace and, with the permission of His Holiness, will bear the papal coat of arms.  This important gesture has long been in the planning and the mace was commissioned by our very own Professor John Haldane.  Everybody is welcome to attend the service and it would be great to see a good number of Catholic students there on the day.  It should be a good news story that does the rounds on the Catholic news agencies.
