The 200 Club

What is the 200 Club?

The St James' 200 Club is an alternative means of giving financial support to the Parish. Tickets cost £10 each per month, with half the proceeds going to parish funds and the remaining half going to the lucky ticketholder as a cash prize. Multiple tickets can be purchased, as can tickets to be given as gifts. The most straightforward method of payment is by standing order, but cash/cheque payments are also welcome.

How to Join?

To join, please complete a 200 Club Application Form and forward it, together with a Parish Data Consent Form, to the Parish Office. Also, please complete a Standing Order Form and forward to your own bank, using your surname and initial as a reference.

Terms & Conditions

The Club
St James’ 200 Club (hereafter referred to as ‘The Club’) will commence on 7th July 2019.

Subscription
The subscription to The Club will be £10.00 per month, per number. Members may have multiple
subscriptions.

Each member will be allocated a permanent number(s) in the monthly draw and this will remain that
member’s number(s) while their subscription is up to date. Numbers will be allocated by the promoter. A
member will be eligible for a draw providing that, by the 15th of the month prior to the draw, a payment
has been received by means of one of the following:

• standing order (monthly)
• cleared cheque (annually)
• cash (annually)

Membership of the scheme is for a minimum period of 12 months.

Persons aged 16 or over can become members of The Club.

Members are encouraged to invite family and friends to join.

Gift subscriptions may be purchased for a third party of 16 years or over.

Proceeds
50% of the monthly payments make up the ‘Prize Fund’, while the remainder goes into parish funds.

Draw
There will be one prize draw each month, made on the first Sunday of the month. The draw will be made
after the 9.30am or 11am Mass on that day. The promoter will make all reasonable efforts to pay or post
prizes to the winners within one week of the draw; members should ensure that they inform the
Promoter of any change in personal details. Winners will be notified by email or telephone. The winner’s
name and number will be made public at the time of the draw, in the subsequent newsletter and on the
Parish website, unless they have indicated in their application that they do not wish their name to be
used in this way. In the case of gift subscriptions (where the Promoter is aware), the number only will be
made public. Payment of winnings will be made by cheque.

Terms and conditions
The terms and conditions of the club may be amended or revoked at any time and under these
circumstances members will be provided with reasonable notice.
