Greyfriars Catholic School
Greyfriars
Greyfriars Primary School serves a wide catchment area stretching east from St Andrews along the East Neuk and west to the Tay Bridge. The school was established in 1959 and in August 2007 moved to newly refurbished accommodation at Kilrymont Road.
As well as drawing from a wide catchment, over the years it has attracted many children of visiting staff at the University of St Andrews. As a result, the school community benefits from a rich cultural diversity as well as a good social and religious mix.
There are currently 7 classrooms on 2 storeys. The school roll has remained stable in recent years, currently 206.
The present Headteacher, Mrs. Collette Crompton, was appointed in 2022.
